U2010 will feature a one and one-half day short course on Uranium Processing and Environmental Impact.  The course curriculum will
take the participant through the uranium processing flow sheet from mineralogy, its influence on treatment route choices to hydrometallurgy
to product recovery including refining and conversion.  Course participants will gain valuable insights into the technologies applied to and
issues involved in dealing with milling effluents and wastes and environmental compliance requirements and trends, both in Canada and in
other jurisdictions.  Uranium processing specific health and safety considerations will also be covered.  A principal key objective of this
course is to familiarize participants with the current state of the art in uranium recovery in the various technical areas.  The emphasis will
be on pragmatic approaches to dealing with real issues.

The symposium organizers reserve the right to cancel the Short Course if the registration is inadequate, and a full refund will be provided
in such circumstances. Persons interested in attending the short course but not the conference, may place themselves on a wait list until July 1st.
