COMPANION TOURS

The companion tours will be held Monday, August 24th and Tuesday, August 25th. Both tours will leave from the Laurentian University. More details, including departure times, will be listed at a later date. Please revisit this page for complete details. Capacity for both tours is 30 people.

DAY 1 (Monday, August 24th) - Manitoulin Island - Price: $100 per person

A day tour will take participants to Manitoulin Island (1.5 hours from Sudbury). There will be several stops of cultural interest such as Birch Island First Nation, Little Current, Monument Hill, Wikwemikong Museum and others. There will also be a stop for lunch and some shopping. The tour will begin at 7am and return to Sudbury at 4pm.

DAY 2 (Tuesday, August 25th) - Sudbury Tour - Price: $75 per person

The day begins with a visit to Science North, Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attraction. This is followed by lunch at The Lake House Restaurant, where a welcoming pine lodge décor, warm hospitality and a panoramic view of beautiful Lake Ramsey complement a mouth-watering menu of delicious dishes. Next, sit back and relax during a one-hour tour of picturesque Lake Ramsey aboard the Cortina, a 70-passenger cruise boat. We then visit the Art Gallery of Sudbury. Housed in a turn of the century mansion, the gallery has a unique architectural appeal. Local history and contemporary works of art come together in the lush surroundings of the gallery grounds.
