Symposium Description
This symposium will bring together scientists, engineers and plant operators,
knowledgeable in the hydrometallurgy of Nickel and Cobalt, to share and discuss
the most recent developments in the processing of these metals. This symposium will deal
with the hydrometallurgical processing of Nickel and Cobalt ores concentrates and mattes,
as well as associated valuable by-products.
Short Course
A short course on the hydrometallurgy of Nickel and Cobalt will be held on August 22 and 23, 2009, prior to the main symposium. The topics of the course and the names of the lecturers will be published in future circulars and on the conference web page.

Technical Tours
Tours, held after the conference will serve to demonstrate hydrometallurgical processes in Canada. Specifics on this tour will be announced as plans for the conference become available.
Proceedings
The Proceedings of the Hydrometallurgy of Nickel and Cobalt Symposium will be published in book and CD form and will be available at the meeting. Both the symposium and its proceedings will be in English. All papers will be refereed and edited prior to final
acceptance and publication.
