Tuesday, August 25: Written Paper Presentations of Materials, Light Metals and Steel
Wednesday, August 26: Materials Science informal round table discussion on Acid Plants
The Materials Performance and Integrity Section has teamed up with the Materials Science and Engineering Section, the Light Metals Section and Iron & Steel to organize a symposium focusing on "Current Issues in Materials Science". This is planned for Tuesday, August 25th.
On Wednesday, August 26th the Materials Performance and Integrity Section has teamed up with the Materials Science and Engineering Section to organize an informal roundtable focusing on
sulphur capture plants. Specific topics will focus on new materials under development, performance metrics, R & D initiatives, best practices, economic considerations, etc
The Proceedings of the Tuesday, August 25th Symposium will be published in book form and will be available for sale at the meeting for $75. Both the symposium and its proceedings will be in English. All papers will be refereed and edited prior to final acceptance and publication.
