Chairman: Weixing Chen

This symposium will review recent progress in the materials engineering of pipelines for the transportation of gas and oil. It will provide a forum for learning and discussion for engineers and scientists in the gas/oil industry and research laboratories. Session topics will include:
  • Processing and properties of advanced linepipe steels
  • Welding and construction of pipelines
  • Corrosion and stress corrosion of linepipe steels
  • Integrity management of pipelines
