Magnola Process

Decades of asbestos mining in Quebec has produced mountains of serpentine tailings. These tailings contain 24% magnesium and represent a valuable opportunity for metals extraction. Magnola Metallurgy, a company primarily owned by Noranda, Inc., seeks to produce magnesium metal from this resource.
