Electric Arc Furnace

The Electric Arc Furnace uses from 70 to 100% recycled steel as its raw material (as contrasted to the KOBM stream which uses primarily iron ore, coal, and limestone). Dofasco has the flexibility to add molten iron to increase quality or as a substitute, when availability of recycled steel is low.
