MetSoc Best Paper Award

An award is made annually for the best paper appearing in the Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly for the Volume associated with the previous year or the CIM Journal. The selection is made by the Editor, Associate Editors and such advisors as they wish to appoint. There is no cash prize with this award. The award is presented at the Conference of Metallurgists.

This award is not open to nominations from the public. The Publications Committee of MetSoc administers the award.

Selection Process:

The CMQ Editor, with input from Associate Editors, will select one or more papers deemed suitable for the CMQ Best Paper Award, and forward those nominees by March 31. The Publications Committee will nominate the CMQ Best Paper and bring this forward to the board for a vote at the spring Board Meeting.
