MetSoc Fund

Introduction

Do we have a succession plan?

This is the question that we have been discussing among ourselves for years. MetSoc created the MetSoc Fund of the CIMF (Canadian Mining and Metallurgy Foundation) to give students in the material and metallurgy fields, the opportunity to pursue their dreams in the industry and also ensure Canada has a viable workforce in these areas.

Nothing beats experience! Each year, through the MetSoc Fund,  MetSoc gives over $20,000 in travel funding, scholarships, and support for activities specifically for metallurgy and materials students such as:

  • Multiple scholarships
  • Conference attendance
  • Field trips to industrial operations
  • Educational exhibitions promoting metallurgy and materials for kids

We need your help and donations to keep our students engaged and to ensure a succession plan for our industry.

Thank you for your donations that help us reach our goal.
